Annual Holiday Gifts
Each family receives $60 before Thanksgiving to assist with groceries for the holiday.
Each child from Cherokee County that is in conservatorship of DFPS will receive funds as follows for the purchase of December holiday gifts:

Age 0-4: $125

Age 5-9: $150

Age 10-13: $165

Age 14+: $175
Our board also works closely with Family Based Safety Services of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. The caseworkers within FBSS have access to the Rainbow Room for resources to assist parents in becoming compliant with parenting standards for the State of Texas and in an effort to maintain the original family unit.
